"If you're not working with a sport psychologist, you're not trying to get better."
- Joe Maddon, American former professional baseball manager
Work with Dr. Meg individually to enhance mental strength and work to improve mental game challenges affecting performance, such as high expectations, difficulty focusing after errors, performing better in practice than in games, perfectionism, lack of or low self-confidence, staying composed, and others. Mental skills training sessions occur ideally over a month, once a week, and can continue for months, depending on the athlete.
Dr. Meg offers team sessions in which she works to incorporate team building and cohesion, mental skills training, and team specific issues that arise throughout a team's season.
Mental skills training provides the techniques and methods that help develop skills such as managing expectations, focus, confidence, trust, composure, perfectionism, social approval, self-acceptance, and more that can lead to enhanced overall performance and outcomes.

"Dr. Megan cares more about the person than just the performance, and when we do that as people, that's what we get... better people, and better people make better athletes. The best skill about Dr. Megan is that she can really just understand the whole psyche, what it takes to be excellent and great and really challenges people in a good way... She does a great job of executing a game plan.”
Dr. Rob Bell, DRB & Associates
"I spoke to a kid today that said you changed her whole approach to life through your words on the sidelines. Just thought you should know... you are impactful in so many ways!"
Kevin Daniels, former college volleyball coach
"She taught them how to use separate cues to keep them on track and work on dealing with mistakes. The girls really improved through the season!"
Liz Reif, Head Volleyball Coach at Wake Tech CC
"It’s been great to watch the girls use the techniques and cues Dr. Megan shared with them! I feel like her time with us has been of enormous benefit to these girls personally—AND to our TEAM as a whole! Thanks so much Dr. Megan!!”
Nancy Cates, Owner and Head Coach at Aim Volleyball Club
"Our daughter struggled with on court anxiety to the point where she would have a breakdown on the court. She wanted each play to be perfect. She was afraid of letting everyone down. Perfection was her goal, but an unattainable one. Not only did she get down on herself when she would make a mistake, but she would blame herself when others made a mistake. Megan has such a gentle demeanor, she immediately put Emma at ease. She worked with her on self-confidence and focusing on the things she COULD control, not on the things she couldn't. We are forever grateful for Megan. The lessons these athletes learn from her are ones that will help them not only in their sport, but also in their life."
